Welcome the HITMAN
The HITMAN (Heuristic Interdiction, Tracking, Monitoring, Assault and Neutralization) Program is a highly classified, cooperative, international research operation sponsored by several national governments. It is the successor to the North American HITMARC (High-Intensity Threat Management and Augmented Resource Control) Initiative. The HITMAN Program’s mission is to research, develop, design and build advanced robotics suitable for fielding against Augmented opponents. In Aurora City, the program utilizes the services of several elite research entities, including Glacier Freelance Research (GFree) and the Council for Advanced Development, Research and Experimentation (CADRE). Despite the aggressive security posture of the program, rumors of various HITMAN designs circulate through the underground shadows of Aurora City.
- HITMAN Omega Unit:
- a non-anthropomorphic chassis with four to six legs intended for use in urban environments. Attack capabilities revolve around twin articulated “arms” capable of close combat and a compact railgun for ranged engagements. While the railgun specifications allow for extended range, the Omega unit is not suitable for an anti-aircraft role.
- HITMAN Delta Unit:
- a humaniform implementation designed for situations deemed too hazardous for standard personnel but requiring similar mobility. Advanced computing capability will allow the HITMAN Delta to respond appropriately to verbal commands as well as the standard military communication channels integrated into a command, control & communication (C3) suite. This design would also allow the HITMAN Delta to equip a large percentage of standard model military equipment, weapons, and ordnance.
- HITMAN Echo Unit:
- also identified as the “HITMAN – Enhanced Reconnaissance Capability” or “HERC“. The Echo unit focuses on scouting, intelligence and espionage missions. Incorporating the most highly advanced sensor and stealth technologies available, the Echo’s “plug and play” concept will allow internal sensors to be reconfigured for external deployment.
